Caroline Priebe

With 20 years of experience using systems thinking to design pioneering apparel, supply chains, and business models, this sustainability/circularity advisor believes that a garment is only as beautiful as its origins. She channels the same energy and creativity she uses in designing a garment into designing complimentary supply chains and business models characterized by their beauty and ethics. As an early adapter to sustainable design (1999), she began her career strategically working for sustainable fashion pioneers including Zero+Maria Cornell, Rogan, Loomstate, Alabama Chanin, and for her own brand, ULURU.

Caroline’s creative direction, experienced business acumen, and incredible practical experience took Freemans Sporting Club to many new levels: a successful entry into international wholesale partnerships, an expansion and elevation of the line’s design and materials, streamlined workflows company-wide, and innovative collaborations across a range of product categories with brands such as Playboy, Inis Meain, Viberg, Mackintosh etc. She maximized a small staff and tight budget with unbelievable resourcefulness and results. I took Caroline's Sustainability Leadership Masterclass and highly recommend it. Caroline brought forth her deep knowledge of sustainability, which is rooted in decades of experience in design, production, and business modeling in the fashion industry. Her thoughtfully created curriculum focuses on key aspects of creating sustainable products, but also includes a robust foundation as well as an exploration of the global economic and business factors at play. These issues can be complicated, but the class never felt "heavy." Instead, she broke things down in a logical way. She was also approachable and open to input.
